Merry, Merry Christmas

Lucinda and Jared and their 11 children came to my house a little after ten AM and opened gifts while I finished baking a lasagna.  They all seemed happy with their gifts.  Jacqueline gave me a framed copy of the pencil sketches she has made of family members.  They stayed until a little after 2 PM but left to visit friends just before the first of the second set of visitors arrived.  Tricia's family except for Russell, David's entire family including Taylor, Shazia and Layla and finally Nancy and Miranda arrived to share a midday meal.  I roasted a leg of Lamb that Jing gave me and baked an apricot and almond cake.  The others brought an assortment of food including ham, egg rolls, pies and salad.  Nancy provided entertainment afterwards with a dance and exercise program that uses motion capture.  There was an excess of goodies.  Rudy occupied himself by playing marble Chase and constructing an elaborate system that looked like alien communication.  29 people total were in my house this Christmas day of2019
