Mending
Today while in an endowment session I discovered that the heel of my slipper had de-laminated from the body of the shoe. I also dealt as usual with the looseness of my slippers that inhibits me from going up the spiral staircase as rapidly as I would like. This afternoon I took some of the satin faced elastic from the waist band of my 'fig' apron and used it to create two bands that I sewed into my slippers to keep them on my feet when I walk. It turned out quite nice and still left plenty of elastic in the waist band. I also replaced the fraying flowers at the tips of the slippers with ribbon bows. I ate a lot of indulgent food today including bananas and sugar free chocolate as well as a bun with butter. I'm not worried about falling off the wagon and back into a SAD diet.
