Bumpety Bump

Today, October 25, 2019 was Adam's birthday.  I took his brothers and sisters and him for a ride in the trailer after we met at the church which shares a very large parking lot with another building.  To the east are hills, to the north and west backyards, to the south a large greenhouse facility for BYU.  It is a fairly private area.  Taking a load of 9 children in an open trailer would be frowned upon if I used the public streets, particularly since I drove a rather wavy path and went over a speed bump that made the trailer jump several times.  The kids really enjoyed the experience.  I took them once around then we paused to have a casual picnic of cheese, chiccarones, punch, carrots and bananas and cupcakes.  Then I took them twice around the parking lot again, but this time three year old Patricia rode in the car with her mother, James, her baby brother, and Mindy who is only 4 months old.  After the ride I had Jacqueline, Adam and Calvin help me put the trailer back in storage near the fence in my front yard.  Then I drove up to visit Rudy and Hannah and we performed the usual ritual of a visit to a local park followed by a visit to McDonalds.  I drove down to Nancy's house and accompanied her to the vet to get a final vaccination for the dog she got from Mary.  I was tired and the setting sun and heavy traffic promised a tiring drive home.  I rested for a while before setting out and made it home in good time.
