It is Friday, October 18, 2019 and I have spent much of the day involved one way or another with grandchildren. This morning I provided materials for Talitha and her occupational counselor to make a pillow. The counselor, the oldest of the Green daughters, was planning to make a trip to Joann's Fabric with Talitha but I had already invited them to sew in my studio and I opened up the storage closet to find several kinds of fabric, stuffing and thread as well as pins and scissors. Talitha chose to use a cerise terry material with little blossoms woven into it. It was difficult to cut and sew but it seems to have made a very nice small pillow, soft and cushy.
After showering I drove up for my Friday visit with Rudy and Hannah. They were at the house on Louise for the day because of school holiday and we revisited the park and McDonald that had become a tradition. Afterwards I drove over to Nancy's house to deliver the small birthday gift I intended for her. Instead of Nancy, who had apparently already left for her flight east, I encountered my daughter Mary and her children, Tevita, Sela and Heta. I had a brief visit with Mary before heading south, but stopped at the Harbor Freight on State and 35th south to purchase some eledtrical tools for Adam's birthday in about a week.
I am truly grateful for my lovely grandchildren.
