Project essentially finished

I worked on my laptop hood today and essentially finished it.  It meets two criteria: it folds and it does the job.  I am planning to add a flexible 'skirt' of either leather or fabric along the bottom of the wings to better obscure light.  I just barely had enough flat black paint to finish covering it.  I recovered leather from old boots to make the skirt and it seems to fill the bill.  It took me about three days to complete this project.  Today the President went ahead with a press conference and although some of the questions from the reporters were snide, it turned out well.  I think he is wise to cut the length.
